The overdue obligations of the general government rose to 3.74 bn euros in March from 3.38 billion euros in February, with the lion’s share relating to social security funds, according to data from the Ministry of Finance. The outstanding tax returns increased to 688 million euros from 628 million euros.
The pension funds owe the most money, amounting to 2 billionn euros in March from 1.88 billion euros last month. In particular, at 1.38 billion euros increased the debt of EOPYY and at 382 million euros the debts of the Welfare Fund.
At 319 million euros Increased the debts of local governments, from 263 million euros, while at 903 million euros from 787 million euros amounted the debt of public hospitals.
