Greek police  arrested in a hotel at Aspropyrgos, a small town in Attica,  a 49-year-old man who arrived in Greece three days ago from Egypt and is considered a suspect for  supplying weapons to Hezbollah. He might have been involved in illegitimate arm deals with Libya, Lebanon  and Syria, and he is considered a quite important  dealer for missiles, antimissile systems and  small gans, ammunition  etc He held both USA and Jordanian citizenship and his permanent residence was  in Egypt. He was under surveillance probably after a tip from the American authorities

According to unconfirmed information, he might have been  employed as an informant for an intelligence service (probably American) and he had been making arm deals in order to gather relevant evidence on the way muslin groups  get their ammunition. According to those sources, he might became a target rather than a friendly “insider“ when he started making deals  for himself without any notification of the intelligence.
