From the New Democracy offices in Syggrou they confirm the reportage of ANT1 television, which refers to suspicions that the mobile phone of the president of New Democracy Antonis Samaras is being mnitored.
“If the reports are credible, Mr Samaras is obliged to initiate any legal proceedings, in order to have his allegations clarified by the competent authorities” comment sources from the government, challenging the former prime minister to initiate all legal proceedings.
According to the reportage, the opposition leader reportedly has detected suspicious signs that might indicate that the phone was monitored, as for example the fact that he was suddenly losing the signal.
Samaras had informed his partners about the problem and as a result they have taken countermeasures, always according to ANT1. However, the suspicious noises continue until today.
