Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a harsh statement against Nikos Dendias and the Greek government.
Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy said that “instead of a dialogue policy, Greece prefers tension, misleading the public with a view to domestic politics and acts with the rational that the enemy of my enemy is my friend”.
He says it is a “shame” for Turkey to be called “barbaric” by those who on the border in front of the whole world mistreated innocent people.
Hami Aksoy attacks Greece and stresses that the Greek state must first and foremost get rid of its “barbarity”. It must respect the rights of asylum seekers, not torture them, not abuse them and not deport them”.
The statement concluded by saying that “those who claim to be the cradle of civilization must learn to respect those who do not have the same language and religion as themselves”./ibna
