The President of Cyprus , Mr Nicos Anastasiades, held today separate meetings with heads of state and government on the sidelines of the ASEM 11 Summit in Mongolia.
During his meeting with the President of Mongolia, President Anastasiades discussed issues related to the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them, the consultations between the two countries to reach an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation, and EU-Mongolian relations and matters relating to the agenda of the ASEM 11 Summit. The President of the Republic also briefed his Mongolian counterpart on the latest developments on the Cyprus problem.
During his meeting with the Vice President of India, President Anastasiades discussed the upcoming visit of the President of India to Cyprus on 15-18 September. He also briefed the Vice President on the latest developments on the Cyprus problem.
Both President Anastasiades and the Indian Vice President expressed their satisfaction for the recent conclusion of the talks with regard to an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation between their two countries. The agreement will be signed during the visit of the President of India to Cyprus.
In his meetings the President of the Republic was accompanied by the Government Spokesman, Mr Nikos Christodoulides.
