Around 700 American KFOR soldiers continue to be present in Kosovo. This number is estimated to be the biggest contributor of KFPR in Kosovo.
This was said during a meeting that KFOR commander, General Major Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, had with the US ambassador to Kosovo, Tracey Ann Jacobson, in the “Film City” camp.
This was the first visit of ambassador Jacobson in the central headquarters of KFOR.
According to a media release, this meeting discussed many topics relating to the latest developments and the security and social economic situation in Kosovo.
The meeting also stressed the effective role of KFOR in preserving a quiet and safe environment, which enables better social and economic conditions.
“During this meeting, general Figliuolo underlined the importance of supporting the American contingent consisting of 700 soldiers KFOR commander praised the US contribution, stressing the professionalism and dedication of its troops on field since 1999 as part of an international force after the war”, reads the press statement.
Meanwhile, ambassador Jacobson said that the US continues to support KFOR mission as one of the most important contributors. /ibna/
