US ambassador to Skopje, Jess Baily is holding meetings with heads of political parties in FYROM with the aim of solving the political crisis in the country.
The US ambassador’s meeting followed the declaration issued by the Macedonian opposition that the talks that were held so far and which resulted in the June 2 agreement, had failed.
Today, ambassador Baily received the leader of the Albanian party BDI (Democratic Union for Integration), Ali Ahmeti, to talk about the current developments and the efforts to bring back political dialogue in the country.
Leader of BDI, Ahmeti said that political parties must immediately come to a political agreement for the solution of the crisis.
“According to the Democratic Union for Integration, the solution mediated by the international community can only be achieved in the negotiating table between the largest political parties in the country, by reaching compromise. This serious situation concerns all of us and especially the two Macedonian leaders, who must reach compromise in order to put the interests of the country before their own”, Ahmeti said. /ibna/
