Prime minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, declared today that parliament must take a decision on the creation of a special court for the former Kosovo Liberation Army. Thaci said that this decision must be taken, although “it’s entirely unfair and an insult for the state of Kosovo”.
Mr. Thaci’s declarations were made today after a visit that he made in a pharmaceutical plant. The prime minister has responded to the interest of the media in relation to the creation of the special court which will investigate alleged crimes of the former members of the Kosovo’s Liberation Army, which are suspected to have been committed during the last war for the liberation of Kosovo.
“We have met with the political spectrum in Kosovo and talked to our international partners. Whenever the parliament’s steering committee examines the demand, parties will be present in the plenary hall. All possibilities will be deliberated in order to offer an adequate and responsible response in relation to the state and interest of the citizens, in close cooperation with the United States of America and European Union”, said prime minister Thaci.
“I have stressed it earlier that out of the two options, there’s one option remaining. Although this issue is entirely unjust and an insult for the state of Kosovo, parliament of Kosovo must take the decision for the creation of the Tribunal”, said the prime minster. /ibna/
