Albania’s U21 has grabbed 3 precious points in “Elbasan Arena” by preserving the second place in the group with 12 points, the same as Portugal which has the lead of the group. The careful play by both teams in the first half led to a goalless draw.

In the second half, the game changed. Players by both teams played well and were motivated. Hungary was the one to score first with Geras.

It was the 53rd minute when a mistake in defence by Hoxhallari, who doesn’t clear the ball from the area, that the Albanian side is punished. But the team doesn’t give up. On the 67th minute, Albania equalized through Rei Manaj. Inter’s attacker scored the equalizer.

A minute later, Laci wasted another chance to send the red and blacks ahead.

On the 77th minute, a beautiful cross by Liridon Latifi inside the area helped Prenga to score the second goal for Albania.

Now, the 21 year olds coached by Redi Jupi hold the second place in the group for the Poland European championship qualifiers. /ibna/
