In the first quarter of this year, Gross Domestic Product in Albania grew by 4.45% compared to the same quarter a year ago. Meanwhile, in 2017, the country’s economic growth was 4%.
This was confirmed today by the country’s office for statistics, according to which, this growth is mainly attributed to the sale of electricity.
According to experts, in the first quarter of the year export of electricity saw an increase thanks to the rainfall that accompanied this period of the year. Export of electricity in the first quarter of this year grew by 66.4% compared to the same period last year and this helped boosted the country’s economic performance. /ibna/
