Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati has participated in the Third Regional Forum of the Union for Mediterranean (UfM), which took place in Barcelona on October 8. The scope of this meeting was the revival of the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation in response to challenges for the stability in the region.
In his address, Albanian Foreign minister, Bushati pointed out that the Euro-Mediterranean faces numerous challenges such as terrorism, radicalism and illegal migration and these challenges require collective and coordinated actions.
“Despite the current challenges, we believe that the Mediterranean is one of the most vital regions for trade and it should continue to flourish. Albania supports the revitalization of the Union for Mediterranean and it’s determined in its vision for the improvement of security in the Euro-Mediterranean region”, minister Bushati said.
On the sidelines of this activity, minister Bushati also had a meeting with the Jordanian Foreign minister, Ayman Al Safadi. During this meeting, the pair discussed the relations that exist between the two countries and the intensification of bilateral and multilateral political dialogue. /ibna/
