The second round of the local elections in Struga on April 7th and the concerns of the Albanian candidate for this commune, Ziadin Sela, over the state institutions’ increased pressure on Albanian voters were discussed Thursday between Albania’s Ambassador to Skopje Arben Çejku and the Albanian candidate for Struga, Ziadin Sela.
Mr. Çejku said he was informed of Mr. Sela’s concerns and that he demanded a free and fair vote.
“I appleal that the of elections be a success story of the free vote, where citizens express their will to select their favorite candidates who should world for Struga and not for other emotions,” Mr. Çejku stated.
The Ambassador said he also met Macedonian candidate Vladimir Koçoski and that he demanded that the elections be about citizesn, beyond political utilizations or intentions to abuse ethnical emotions.
“We will also be present on Sunday to monitor the election process,” said the Ambassador of Albania to Skopje. /ibna/
