The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Union will invest 40 million euros for the development of tourism in Albania.
This was announced today during a meeting that representatives of this sector had with the EU ambassador, Romana Vlahutin.
The EU ambassador said that low prices are not enough for the development of tourism and that there should be investments in things that the region does not offer.
“Environment is a big challenge. Do not underestimate it. There’s a lot to do about the packages which are offered. Along with EBRD we will invest 40 million euros. Small and medium sized enterprises are very important and you compete with very important markets around you. This is not easy”, said Vlahutin.
Meanwhile, the Albanian minister of Tourism and Environment, Blendi Klosi stopped on the project for the development of tourism, which will focus on four main points: Tirana, the Alps, the Adriatic coastline and the south. /balkaneu.com/
