Tirana, 6 May 2015/Independent Balkan News Agency
The Albanian government has recently allocated 8,6 million Euros in order to implement the decisions of the European Court for financial compensation.
These funds will compensate several families for large areas of lands in different cities of Albania.
Being unable to find a solution in Albanian courts, these families have filed their cases at the European Court for Human Rights.
The majority of them have won these cases and the European Court has obliged the Albanian government to pay financial compensation for these families.
Around 8,6 million Euros have been paid for six families alone, inform official sources from the Albanian Ministry of Finance.
The payment carried out in the first three months of 2015 for compensation according to the rulings of the European Court for Human Rights, is two times higher than all the payments for this category of transactions carried out in 2014, a year when the Albanian state paid out 4,6 million Euros in compensation. /ibna/
