Albanian police remains committed in the fight against organized crime, while it agrees to boost cooperation with US authorities in this endeavor.
This was said by the Albanian police commissioner Haki Çako during a visit held in Philadelphia, US, where he’s participating in the proceedings of the Conference of the International Association of Police Chiefs.
In Philadelphia, Çako has met with president of IACP, Donald de Luca and Bruce C Wartz, deputy assistant Attorney General and Advisor of the Department of Justice on International Affairs.
During his meetings with these two senior officials, both sides agreed on boosting cooperation in several fields.
According to Çako, Albanian police has drafted reforms in the fight against organized crime, traffic of narcotics and illegal emigration.
Meanwhile, the US officials have praised cooperation with the Albanian authorities and have expressed their support for the Albanian State Police. /balkaneu.com/
