The strengthening of cooperation between the two countries and Italy’s support for Albania in the process of integration in the European Union is at the focus of an official visit that the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama has held in Italy.
This afternoon, PM Edi Rama has held a meeting with his Italian counterpart, Paolo Gentiloni and the discussions between the two counterparts focused on the strategic partnership between the two countries, economic relations and joint projects, the request to increase the number of Italian investors in Albania, the joint war against organized crime and illegal trafficking, the war against international terrorism and situation in the Balkans.
Meanwhile, let us recall that Italy remains one of the main supporters of Albania’s path toward the European Union and this meeting comes at a time when the country is waiting for a date to start accession talks with the EU.
