The fifth joint meeting of the government of Kosovo and government of Albania has started in Pec. The removal of roaming, the unification of customs and other concessions are some of the main topics being discussed in this meeting, IBNA reports.
During this meeting, Albanian PM Rama said that within a period of six months, there full be free movement of people, services, goods and capital between the two countries.
“In six months time, zero tariffs will apply between Kosovo and Albania. We will also work for a full economic integration between the two countries, similar to the EU customs union. There will be full recognition of documents and a number of other concessions”, PM Rama said.
He said that those countries who consider this as a threat are mistaken.
Rama also launched criticism about the EU’s enlargement process, stressing that it’s applying two standards for Albania and Kosovo, while stressing that Serbia is exploiting this.
The Albanian PM said that Kosovo’s union with Albania will be enabled by the European integration process.
On the other hand, Kosovo’s PM, Ramush Haradinaj said that he supports the idea for the full economic liberalization of the two countries. /ibna/
