The leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha is in Brussels where he attended yesterday the Political Assembly of the European People’s Party.
Last night, Mr. Basha said that he met with Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, chairman of CDU. “On behalf of DP, I expressed our recognition for the support given by CDU in drafting our economic program and for helping DP to modernize”, Mr. Basha said.
During the Political Assembly of the European People’s Party, Basha also met other important personalities of this European political formation.
The leader of the opposition held friendly meetings with the President of EPP, Joseph Daul, EPP’s candidate for president of the European Commission, Manfred Weber, the chairman of the Foreign Committee of the European Parliament, David McAllister and other European personalities who are part of the same European political formation.
In the press release that Basha and the Democratic Party issued, they did not offer any details as to whether they had received support for the protests or the decision to boycott parliament
