The Albanian minister for the Diaspora, Pandeli Majko has declared on Thursday in an official visit to Pristina that he has also received the confirmation of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj that Albania and Kosovo will start to have a free movement of people and goods starting from January 1st, 2019.
However, the Serb authorities have reacted about this. The head of the Office for Kosovo of the Serbian government, Marko Djuric, is quoted to have said that “Kosovo and Albania do not share a border. The only border that exists is the one between Serbia and Albania, which is 111 km long”.
Meanwhile, media have also quoted the Albanian minister of State for the Diaspora, who has retorted by saying that “I hope someone will let him know that Yugoslavia no longer exists. Dreams of changing borders are now gone once and for all. Kosovo is an independent state and this is the reason why he holds the post of director today!”. /ibna/
