“Vetting in justice has restored trust among Albanians”. This was declared today by Albanian Justice minister, Etilda Gjonaj.
This declaration was made during a joint press conference held in Brussels with the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Johannes Hahn.
“We will also take advantage of the support that our partners have given us. Up until today, vetting in the justice system has restored trust among citizens and it has also removed corrupt judges and prosecutors from the system. We’re convinced that we’re on the right path”, Gjonaj said.
The Albanian minister of Justice thanked the European Union for the assistance that it’s offering to Albania and said that she was confident that accession talks will be launched next June.
Gjonaj also added that Albania has now embarked on a journey in which there’s no turning back. /ibna/
