Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahir declared today during the presentation of the first 300 days of work in this ministry, that in these 300 days state police was taken out of corruption.
“There are many police officers who do their job without taking bribes, but there have also been many police officers who have issued fines which are not based on the law and who accept bribes”, said minister Tahiri.
Tahiri added that through new police equipment, law is being applied by avoiding corruption. The minister of Interior presented three video footages taken and one of them showed two police officers who accepted bribes.
“Fight against corruption in police has been intensive. In 300 days, there are over 700 police officers who have been disciplined. Yesterday, police officers were not held accountable, as their bosses were more corrupted than them”, said the minister of Interior in his speech. /ibna/
