A group of Albanian academics, heads of the association of Albanian business and the rector of the State University of Tetovo have addressed a public leader where they have appealed to the biggest Macedonian party VMRO-DPMNE and its leader, Nikola Gruevski to respect the will of the Albanian people in FYR Macedonia and the request of the winning party of the Albanian political camp to be part of the new government.
“As the biggest winning part, under the Constitution and laws in force, VMRO-DPMNE has the right to form a new government, and in respect of the practice built so far, it’s expected to invite Albanian political parties in the formation of the government. If Albanians will not be represented in the government by the party which won the majority of votes, their political will is not expressed and they remain without the determinator of their political behavior”, says the message.
This message also demands for the Albanian party that won the elections BDI (Democratic Union for Integration) not to step over the will of 153 thousand voters that supported it in the elections by accepting an inferior position in the government.
This letter was signed by academics Ali Aliu, Alajdin Abazi, Abdylmenaf Bexheti, rector of State University of Tetovo, Vullnet Ahmety, head of the Economic Chamber of Northwestern Macedonia, Menderez Kuci, along with a group of intellectuals. /ibna/
