Albanian Economy and Finance minister, Arben Ahmetaj held an official visit to Serbia today. During this visit, Ahmetaj was received by his Serb counterpart, Sinisa Mali. During this meeting, the two counterparts have held discussions for cooperation in the area of customs and trade. Meanwhile, both of them have requested for barriers in the trade of goods between the two countries to be removed along with the facilitation of procedures and the reduction of paperwork needed for import and export of good.
Ahmetaj’s visit to Serbia focused on further promoting economic cooperation and trade between the two countries. “Albania and Serbia play a key role in the region and economic cooperation between the two countries is an absolute priority”, they said, stressing that “Albania and Serbia should turn into an example of economic and political cooperation in the region”.
“If both countries cooperate between them, the region wins”, they stressed. /ibna/
