Administrative Court in Albania has suspended today the order of the Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj for the testing of nurses.
The decision has been taken during a court hearing held today after which it was decided to suspend the testing until the case is fully deliberated.
Immediately after the ruling of the court, minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj said that testing would be suspended temporarily.
“Given that the court decided to suspend the testing until the case is fully deliberated, we will wait. There will be no testing for the time being. It’s the right of every person to protest”, said the minister of Health.
The testing was objected by the president of the Order of Nurses, given that the majority of nurses were against this testing, something which has also been seen in the numerous protests held in the recent days.
A few hours before this court decision, minister Beqaj declared that nobody would be affected by the results of the testing. “Work relations and the entitlement for career advancement do not change after the test. There are people who say that they will change, but this will not happen. The work contract, salary and the right to exert the profession do not change”, said minister Beqaj. /ibna/
