The Albanian Commissioner for the Right of Information and Protection of Personal Data reported that last year, this institution has received 650 complaints, 395 of which have been solved amicably.
The majority of the complaints that have been examined by this office have been filed by individuals, namely 430, while 130 have been filed by organizations. This indicates a raising awareness among citizens to exert this right.
Meanwhile, in 2017, the commission handled 205 complaints as opposed to 150 in 2016. 184 inspections have taken place last year, 153 of which were conducted on the ground, while 31 of them were conducted online, in sectors and areas such as healthcare, banking system, telecommunication, etc. /balkaneu.com/
