This year, the Albanian government is expected to approve the opening of two new diplomatic centers. The first one is a new embassy in Canberra, Australia, while the second one is a consulate in Guangzhou, China.
This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Europe.
“The opening of this consulate will have an economic impact in terms of the huge investments that can be made by different Chinese investors”, the ministry says in regards to the new consulate in China.
Currently, Albania has one embassy in China and the opening of the consulate increases its diplomatic presence.
As far as the embassy in Australia is concerned, the ministry says that its opening “will enable a more efficient and effective presentation of Albania in order to promote it, by maximizing and intensifying economic cooperation”. /balkaneu.com/
