The Cabinet approved today the opening of the Consulate General of the Republic of Albania in Struga, North Macedonia.
The town of Stuga is a popular tourist destination located in the southwestern part of North Macedonia on the shore of Lake Ohrid, 15 km from the Kjafasan border station linking North Macedonia with Albania.
According to law no. 23/2015, “On the Foreign Service of the Republic of Albania”, on a proposal from the Prime Minister and Minister for Europe and External Relations, the Council of Ministers decided to open a consulate in Struga, with the costs for the opening of the consulate and consulate posts to burden the 2020 budget, which was approved by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. The Ministry will also be responsible for implementing this decision, which will enter into force after its publication in the Government Gazette”./ibna
