This is a deal which encourages us to work harder, considered the Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri the agreement signed between Albania and USA on the control of narcotic substances and law enforcement, which was voted today at the parliamentary economy committee.
“This is an agreement which encourages us to work more and improve ourselves, in order to improve the capacity of law enforcement agencies in the country and their capacity to fight criminality. Our collaboration with partners is solid and has issued its results. This is expected to continue in the months and years to come”, Mr. Tahiri said during this hearing.
Tahiri said that the agreement recognizes the results achieved so far by the State Police and law enforcement agencies in the country, in the framework of the fight against organized crime, corruption and cultivation of narcotic substances.
The US government offers a fund of 7 778 000 $ with the aim of implementing two projects: “Development of criminal justice” and “Development of law enforcement”. /ibna/
