Albanian authorities and Serb authorities signed an agreement in Belgrade “For mutual assistance for the prevention, investigation and prosecution of customs violations”.
The agreement was signed by the minister of Economic Development of Albania, Arben Ahmetaj and the minister of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, Dusan Vujovic.
According to this agreement, contracting parties will enable each other, through their Customs Authorities, mutual assistance in order to prevent smuggling.
The agreement includes prevention, investigation and fight of violations in customs legislation.
Commenting this agreement, minister Ahmetaj says that this only aims mutual administrative assistance between Contracting Parties. “The provisions of this Agreement do not entitle any private individual to take, prevent or rule out any proof or prevent the execution of any demands”, says Mr. Ahmetaj. /ibna/
