Albanian football national team scored its first victory in a European football tournament, after scoring against Romania and holding on to the result until the end of the match.
Albania faced Romania on Sunday in Lyon, France, as part of the Euro 2016 football championship being held in France.
The red and blacks managed to play a good game and keep their goal clean.
Two minutes before the end of the first half, the Albanian national side attacker, Armando Sadiku managed to score with a header giving his team a lead.
Sadiku’s goal enters in the history of Albanian football, as it was the first one that Albania has ever scored in a European championship.
In the other group matches, Albania was defeated by France and by Switzerland.
Chances that Albania manages to qualify for the next stage are small. However, this will be learned in three days.
After the match, many Albanians took on the streets in different cities, celebrating the first red and black victory in Euro 2016.
No incidents were reported in Albania during these celebrations which lasted several hours. /balkaneu.com/
