Prime minister of Romania, Victor Ponta says that relations with Albania in the domain of economy have entered a new phase.
During the meeting (photo) that he had with the Albanian minister of Economic Development, Trade and Enterprise, Arben Ahmetaj, Mr. Ponta said that “Albania and Romania have entered a new phase of economic cooperation”.
In this context, minister Ahmetaj said “this is the best moment to pass into concrete projects”.
The increase of the presence of Romanian investments in Albania and the unexploited opportunities of cooperation were at the focus of the interest expressed by both sides.
Mr. Ahmetaj and the minister of Energy and Industry, Damian Gjiknuri are holding meetings in the region, in countries such as Romania, Croatia. Present in these meetings is also the chairman of the Albanian Power Corporation, Agron Heto.
The meetings in Romania have focused on issues and projects of investments in the domain of energy, exports, modernization of the energy system of power stations, water and wind generated power systems and other domains of a mutual interest, such as textile industry and tourism.
The meeting in Romania is the second one held in a month, following the visit in Tirana of the Romanian prime minister, Ponta. There’s no official information about any agreements that may have been reached in these talks. /ibna/
