In the ceremony of the signature of the agreement between Albania and Lithuania

The Secretary General of World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Tabel Rifai, says that “Albania is a rising star in the domain of tourism”.
The declaration of UNWTO was made today during the signature of a cooperation agreement between Albania and Lithuania in the domain of tourism.
Recognizing the importance of the development of tourism in the development of economic relations between the Minister of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Enterprise of Albania and the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy, signed today in Lithuania the agreement “For cooperation in the domain of tourism”.
On behalf of the Albanian side, the agreement was signed by deputy Minister Adela Karapici and on behalf of the Lithuanian side, by the Minister of Economy, Evaldas Gustas.
Through this agreement, the ministries will try and develop and strengthen relations in the domain of tourism, develop economic bilateral exchanges, boost cooperation between their business associations, tourism, institutions and other organizations engaged in the development of tourism.
Ministries will exchange experience and statistics in the domain of tourism, with the aim of boosting exchanges of tourists between the respective countries and pay special attention to boosting participation in activities that aim at promoting tourism.
The agreement enters into force on the day it is signed and will last for a period of five years, subject to automatic renewal.
Lithuania is a model of success in the fast integration in Euro-Atlantic structures. Cooperation with Lithuania and its constant support for Albania’s European integration process is highly valued.
