Albania: Rama signs two agreements while in Abu Dhabi

The Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama met today in Abu Dhabi with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

“With the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, after the signing of two agreements; one for the start of the reconstruction of 2,000 apartments in Durrës, and the other for the intergovernmental economic cooperation focusing on direct investments,” Edi Rama posted on his Facebook page.

Earlier, posting a picture from Abu Dhabi, the Albanian Prime Minister noted that they would soon kick off with the large investment for the transformation of the port of Durrës into one of the most beautiful and largest tourist ports in the Mediterranean.

Prime Minister Rama said earlier that “the Albanian government will finance the infrastructure of the new Spitalla neighborhood, while infamous Arab businessman Muhamet El Alabar, architect of some of the most impressive buildings in the Middle East and beyond such as Khalifa, the tallest building in Dubai, will be in charge of the construction of the Hospital building, even the new apartments that will be built on the site of the damaged buildings in Durrës following the tragedy of November 26, 2019.”/ibna
