Data reported by CEC and processed by Euronews Albania confirm that until 08:00 (local time) this morning, the Socialist Party continues to retain an overwhelming electoral result on a national level.
As 4759 ballot boxes have been counted so far, out of the total 5199, (91,53%), the Socialist Party is in the lead with 48.61% of the votes.
On the other hand, the Democratic Party has secured 39.39% of votes.
The electoral configuration for SMI is very low compared to the 2017 electoral year.
Based on data published by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), this political subject has only been able to receive 6.91% of votes on a national level, while 2.25% have gone to the PSD, led by Tom Doshi.
Distribution of mandates on a national level, until 08:20 a.m.:
Socialist Party – 72 mandates
Democratic Party – 59 mandates
Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) – 6 mandates.
Social-Democratic Party (PSD) – 3 mandates.

When 90.1% of votes are now counted and SP is at an advantage, PM Edi Rama has reacted through a post on Facebook.
He wished Albanians a good morning with a quote from basketball player, Michael Jordan, writing: “If you work hard, you get rewarded. There are no shortcuts in life”.
