The President of Albania, Ilir Meta has continued his official visit to Kosovo with a meeting with the Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli.
In this meeting, the Albanian President has expressed his conviction that cooperation projects between the two parliaments will continue.
Referring to the main challenges that Kosovo and its society faces, such as the liberalization of visas from the European Union, border demarcation with Montenegro and the dialogue with Serbia, president Meta expressed his conviction that the new Parliament of Kosovo and parliamentary political forces will focus on the European and Euro-Atlantic agenda of the country.
President Meta assured Assembly Speaker Veseli that Albania will continue to offer its support for Kosovo’s accession in regional and international organizations.
Meanwhile, yesterday, in a meeting held with his Kosovar counterpart, Meta and Thaci discussed the process of the liberalization of visas with the EU.
The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci has demanded from his counterpart from Albania, to issue Albanian nationality to the citizens of Kosovo in order to avoid what he called “isolation imposed by the European Union”. /balkaneu.com/
