Albanian police will now have a new commissioner, following the removal of former commissioner, Haki Çako. The new head of police is Ardi Veliu, who currently holds the post of the police chief of Tirana.
His name was proposed by the minister of Interior, Fatmir Xhafaj and has been approved by PM Edi Rama.
Ardi Veliu has previously served as chief of Police of Tirana, chief of Road Police, chief of the Police of Durres and a police officer in Vlora. /balkaneu.com/
