Albania and Montenegro are making an important step in order to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Albanian driver licenses will be recognized in Montenegro and vice versa.
The Albanian government endorsed in its last meeting the agreement with the government of Montenegro, for the mutual recognition of driver licenses.
This agreement was approved at the proposal of the minister of Transport and Infrastructure, in the framework of the law “For the signature of international treaties and agreements”.
A while ago, the two countries also introduced a single joint custom point, where the personnel are both Albanian and Montenegrin.
This saves time for passengers and transport vehicles and it’s been welcomed by them. Border authorities in Muriqan (photo) say that this change led to a significant rise of the number of tourists and trade. /ibna/
