Albania has made significant progress in gender equality. Such fact is confirmed by the global gender gap report, which is drafted each year by the World Economic Forum.
According to this forum, Albania has gained 24 positions this year, ranking 38th in the world, as opposed to last year’s 68th position.
Meanwhile, as far as regional ranking is concerned, Albania is listed first, leaving Serbia behind. Last year, Albania ranked second in the region.
This means that women in Albania have gained more rights and liberties as opposed to men compared to a year ago. /balkaneu.com/
