Today, Albania marked the 100th anniversary of the creation of the oil industry in its territory.
The first oil well in Albania was drilled 100 years ago in Drashovica, Vlora.
On the occasion of this anniversary, the ministry of Infrastructure and Energy hosted a special conference today in the industrial town of Kucova, which lives and has lived on oil since the time when Italian companies searched for oil.
Meanwhile, the minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Damian Gjinkuri, Italian ambassador to Tirana, Alberto Cutillo, mayor of Kucova, Selfo Kapllani, MPs of this constituency and representatives of TAP and SHELL companies, visited the wells which have been producing oil since the 1930s.
