The Albanian government and the International Commission for Missing Persons (ICMP) have signed a cooperation agreement for the finding of people who have gone missing during the communist period.
This agreement aims at intensifying efforts for the finding of people who have been declared missing during the communist period from 29 November 1944 until 2 July 1991.
“The Albanian government will do everything to deliver the obligations of this agreement. We’re aware that this is a long and complicated process, which requires the engagement of the sides involved in this matter, but we pledge that we will take all the necessary measures in order for this process to yield positive results”, declared the Albanian deputy Minister of Interior, Rovena Voda.
According to her, this process will deliver justice for all the families of missing people. /ibna/
