Albania: Additional EUR 1,000 to doctors and nurses at the coronavirus frontline

The Albanian government will pay an additional 1,000 euro to the salaries of doctors and nurses on the coronavirus frontline, according to Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The Albanian Prime Minister reacted today to the announcement of the doctors in Lezha’s Emergencies ward, emphasizing that “I have said that in Albania we will pay an additional 1,000 euro in the salaries of doctors and nurses in the frontline”.

“Anyone who has confused the frontline for COVID-19 in hospitals and ambulances with the work of the ‘white shirts’ on the ground, should be clear and not desecrate the ‘white shirt’”, Rama said.

“Whoever incites demands from outside for rewards without any awareness, is applying the bad policy he has always been applying and will be punished by the people; whoever is playing internal political games is violating the sacred mission and ethics of the ‘white shirt’ in this war and not it will be justified in the future”, Rama stressed./ibna
