1407 complaints have been filed by Albanian citizens at the Commissioner’s Office for the Right of Information and Protection of Personal Data.
Such figure has been confirmed by this office on the occasion of 28 September, World Day of the Right of Information, which coincides with the third anniversary of the voting of the bill “On the right of information” by the Albanian parliament. Meanwhile, the application of this law remains a challenge for all Public Authorities, as part of general efforts to cultivate the culture of transparency toward the public.
But, it seems that the frequent breaches of this law still remain a problem for Albanian citizens, while in the year to September, 423 complaints have been received, while 90% of the cases have been settled in favor of the plaintiffs. /balkaneu.com/
