Agriculture Minister Nikos Kouyialis travels to Egypt for a preparatory meeting in view of a trilateral meeting between Cyprus, Egypt and Greece scheduled to take place in January.
Speaking to the press on Monday, the Minister said that the Government attaches great importance to the conclusion of the trilateral cooperation between Cyprus, Egypt and Greece and that he will be meeting five Minister with whom he will discuss issues related to agriculture, organic farming, water, trade in agricultural products and waste management.
He added that during the meeting they will discuss the issue of the protection of the Mediterranean from drilling activities in the region. Kouyialis appeared optimistic that the cooperation between the three countries will be very beneficial for everyone.
