Albanian Minister of Social Welfare and Youth, Erion Veliaj and the head of the Albanian-American Development Fund (AADF), Micheal Granoff, signed today a memorandum of cooperation, which aims at promoting the education of young people with entrepreneurial skills.
The agreement stresses the important of learning through practice and comes as part of the “Junior Achievement” program.
“This agreement is very important to us, because it relates to the introduction of business courses in our professional schools. We had a fantastic year, as enrolments in professional schools went up by 40%. This means that the public has grasped the message that professional education is the future”, Veliaj said.
Meanwhile, the head of AADF board, Mr. Granoff praised the program of assistance in the domain of professional education, stressing that the model which has been demanded to be applied has yielded good results. “The reason why we like this program has to do with the fact that we believe that if we offer to students an economic education, then this automatically brings economic growth and better standards of living”, said Mr. Granoff. /ibna/
