AEK F.C. advances to the group stage of Europa League after beating Club Brugge KV
With a total score of 3-0 goals against Club Brugge KV, AEK F.C. Athens managed to clinch a place in the Europa League competition for the first time after six seasons.
Lazaros Christodoulopoulos was the one who opened the score for the hosts with a penalty kick at the 27th minute of Thursday’s match, while Portuguese defensive midfielder Andre Simoes scored twice for his side at the 39th minute and at 90+1′, making the final 3-0 score, which eliminated Club Brugge KV from the next round of the Europa League.
AEK F.C. Athens will now go into Friday’s Europa League draw knowing they will have more European nights like this one over the next months.
PAOK F.C. Thessaloniki got eliminated from 2017-18 Europa League’s group stage by Ostersunds FK
With an aggregate of 3-3 and after Thursday’s loss in Sweden with 2-0 goals, the team of PAOK F.C. Thessaloniki, got eliminated from the 2017-18 group stage of Europa League competition.
After a goalless first half, the Swedish international attacking midfielder Saman Ghoddos scored a second-half brace (71′, 77′) and gave the important victory to the hosts.
The result was disappointing for the Thessaloniki team and now Lucescu will have to regroup the players, hoping that he can engineer a SuperLeague title challenge.

With an aggregate of 4-2 against Panathinaikos F.C. Athens, the team of Athletic Bilbao F.C. managed to qualify to the group stage of 2017-18 Europa League.
On Thursday’s match, the Spanish club won 1-0 against Panathinaikos F.C. Athens at “San Mames Stadium”and put an end on the Green’s European adventure.
The Spanish international attacking midfielder Iker Muniain Goñi scored the only goal of Thursday’s match, with a close-range effort at the 22nd minute.
