Security in the commune of Mitrovica is stable and adequate measures must be taken in order to preserve this situation and offer better conditions for the free movement of the citizens on the occasion of Orthodox Christmas.
This was concluded on Tuesday during a meeting between the vice mayor of Mitrovica, Safet Kamberi and head of southern police station of Mitrovica, Ahmet Gjosha.
Both interlocutors agreed that more security measures must be taken on the occasion of different visits that members of the Serb community will make on Wednesday in the southern part of the city, where they are expected to visit their religious places.
Today’s meeting was held ahead of today’s visit of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs in the government of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin in Kosovo. His visit takes place on the occasion of the Orthodox Christmas.
Mr. Vulin will be accompanied by the minister for Communities and Returns in the government of Kosovo, Aleksandar Jablanovic and together, they will take place in the traditional celebrations of Christmas night in the monastery of Zocisht. Ministers will also address to the media. /ibna/
