Academy of Sciences and Arts in FYROM expressed its concern today about the deep political crisis in the country.
Through a public request, it has demanded political sides to put the state’s interest above the party’s interests, through dialogue and overcome all differences that exist between them.
“The overcoming of the political crisis is above all an obligation and a responsibility of political factors and other factors that must articulate their stances through dialogue and cooperation with the respective European and international institutions”, reads the press release issued by the Academy today.
The Academy says that the country must find the path of dialogue, as it’s part of European and democratic values and part of European institutions for issues of democratic development, parliamentary democracy, rule of law and basic human rights.
The Academy calls upon the European Commission and other European institutions to help and accelerate the process of the accession of the country in the EU and NATO. /ibna/
