Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, which up until recently demanded the abrogation without any compromise of the Demarcation Agreement with Montenegro, has now softened its stance.
AAK issued a press release today demanding this process to be renegotiated in Brussels.
“Demarcation with Montenegro damages Kosovo. Those who have caused so much trouble for Kosovo, must be held accountable. The government’s efforts to turn demarcation into an obstacle for the process of the visa liberalization process, is another serious mistake of the institutions of Kosovo’, AAK declared.
AAK is against the idea that the Demarcation must be initially ratified in Parliament and then corrected.
“The government’s declarations that the Demarcation can first be ratified and then corrected, are dangerous. The readiness of the Montenegrin side to correct eventual mistakes, has invalidated every claim by the President or the Prime Minister that this process is clean”, the statement says. /balkaneu.com/
