Around 40 illegal emigrants from Pakistan and Afghanistan stopped in FYROM

Skopje, May 7, 2013-FYRO Macedonian police have stopped today around 40 illegal emigrants from Pakistan and Afghanistan. The emigrants were stopped in the region of Kumanovo, as they were being transported in a van toward the border with Serbia. The Ministry of Interior informs that the emigrants, ranging from the age of 18 to 30, were discovered in the village of Slupcan. The person responsible for their transports is the citizen initialed F.A, 39 years of age from Kumanovo. He was immediately arrested and is expected to appear before court for illegal traffic of human beings. The person in question had planned to accommodate the emigrants in the village of Sllupcan and then illegally help them to cross into Serbia.

The emigrants admitted that they had paid 1 thousand USD each to be transported from the border area with Greece to the border area with Serbia. Their final destination was Hungary. /ibna/
