HIV virus is spreading fast in FYROM. According to “Hera” Association for Health Education, 338 people have been registered with HIV in FYROM. 190 of them continue to receive medical treatment.
“The study of the World Bank and the Ministry of Health shows that in Macedonia, only 50% of people who live with HIV, have been diagnosed in time, while the rest are not aware of it”, says Svetlana Vojnovska, representative of “Hera” Association.
According to her, people who are diagnosed in time and start a therapy, may live longer and live quality life.
As part of European Week of HIV, different activities are taking place in the country to raise awareness among the population in order to be tested against this virus. /balkaneu.com/
